I have some VERY exciting news...
It turns out...this is my
100th post!
Current dilemma:
amount of time between posts + 100th post = A LOT of pressure.
Solution:
adorable photo of my Stella Jane loving her daddy:
Consider this a teaser from my fabulous weekend in Kentucky. More to come!
My sweet friend Mary Ellen invited me into her home to photograph her adorable boys, and I'm telling you, it was SO FUN to play with Jacob and Paul David.
Jacob is a crazy, fun two-year-old. He loves trains, dogs, his thumb and playing with little brother Paul David. Even at four months Paul David is fascinated with Jacob. He'll tolerate anything he throws at him. I'm confident, when Paul David starts walking he'll be following his rambunctious brother around everywhere. I'm worried for Mary Ellen...there's no telling what they'll get themselves into.
One of the cooler things about this shoot was that
Julie shot with me. Julie is not only one of my best friends in the world, but she's so talented, and I'm blessed to be working with her.
::and here she is::
::and here they are::
M.E, thank you again and again for giving me such a FUN FUN day! I loved being in your home with your boys!
I had a fabulous time shooting this outstanding Westwood High School Senior.
I have gotten to know Kyler through various activities at our church. We spent some time in Mexico last spring serving orphans and families there. This boy can work! His heart for service was real evident on that trip.
Also, Kyler is an outstanding athlete. Anyone that follows Warrior Football knows that he kills it on the
football field.
I was super honored when he asked me to take his senior photos. Kyler and his family are a huge blessing to me!
Let me know what you think.
I love that Austin loves fun.
This weekend's festival was definitely FUN. Though Zilker Park's brand new beautiful lawn would disagree, I thouroughly enjoyed ACL09 Festivities.
From perfect weather Friday to mud (like I've never seen it) on Sunday, memories were made.
Rain or shine, we have a good time, folks! There were so many fabulous shows, but my favorite for sure was seeing
Dave Matthews from side stage (thanks so so much John Rubey)!
I didn't bring my camera out until Sunday (do mostly to tears from the sky), but I was able to catch what was left of Zilker's muddy lawn during a performance by Passion Pit and an outstanding Pearl Jam show.
Festivals are AMAZING for people watching. You see a little bit of everything.
Enjoy the photos. There will soon be more on
Facebook if you're interested.
Me:
Man, I hope that was worth it.
Hard Core Photographer (pictured below):
Yeah, me too.
Rubey insisted.
Pearl Jam fans are INTENSE!
7-week-old Parker is quite the charmer.
This little one is all girl. Her adorable pink outfits would make the incredible hulk swoon.
Parker's parents are good friends of mine and I've prayed for this little beauty's safe arrival since before she was conceived. It was so great to spend this Friday afternoon with she and her mama. Sweet Parker loves the sun. It may even be wear she sleeps the hardest. Who would have thought?
Enjoy!
