Ben's Belated Birthday Wishes.

Less than a week ago, one of the most important people in my life celebrated his Golden Birthday.

That's right folks, my fabulous brother Ben is 17!!!

He's been driving a year, he's a junior in high school (sort of a senior because he's graduating early), and he's a man. A real grown up man.

How'd that happen, you say? Well, I'm not quite sure. I'm still picking myself up off the ground at the shock of how quickly time passes.

Regardless of his age, though, I love this man more than I can describe. Seeing him grow up has been such a blessing to me. I just hate that I've had to do it from several cities away.

If you know Ben, you're lucky. This adventurer should have a book written about him (one day he probably will). There are few things that he is afraid to do, and he's constantly entertaining.

Also, Ben is dynamic. He affects anyone around him. I can't wait to see the ways that he will continue to lead others and the effect that it will have on the world.

My favorite thing about Ben, though, is his heart. He loves people deeply, and it's evident in his loyalty and commitment to his friends and family.

I remember the day you were born, B. I remember wandering what you would be like as a little boy, then what you would be like when you grew up. It's crazy that we've gotten here so fast. I love you more today than I ever have.
