Colorado or Bust!

 

In early October I took an amazing trip north with my sister and bestie, Steph.

These are two of my VERY FAVORITE traveling companions. We really fit each other well when it comes to visiting places.

After having done an outstanding trip to Thailand a little over a year ago, we thought it time to take a shorter relaxing trip to celebrate summer's end (a couple months late).

We had originally planned to go in early September, but were delayed by schedules. At first I was disappointed and worried about the cold weather. But I was wrong, because the fall colors were TERRIFIC!

Most of our time was spent relaxing around Breckenridge. We got to know the town VERY well. We ate, biked and played. Some of our meals were fantastic and some not so fantastic (grilled PB&J with fried okra and cheap beer). :)

We rented bikes and played in the hotel hot tub. We watched movies at the lodge when it was cold and wet and enjoyed coffee and great books to weather the storm.

She'll hate me for this, but I just think she's so stinking beautiful. I couldn't pass it up.

The very beginning of a very short fall in Colorado.

It was a great book. You should read it!

All in all, it was an awesome trip. Hopefully to be trumped by another in a year. Portland anyone?
