On a roll

"On a roll?" or "On a role?"

I think it's "roll"...as if I were rolling down a hill, rather than I got the starring "role" in a play. Right?

Anyway, I'm rolling right along with this blog post about my role as a photographer regardless.

Back to work at the day job makes this photographer a sleepy one. The break was much needed and refreshing, but it's always a little tough to make it back to the office. I'll post photos of Tennessee with the fam soon. One day at a time.

Speaking of being a photographer and my day job, there are a couple things I'd like to show you.

First of all, I have to mention to any photographers out there (assuming any of you read this blog) a workshop that I think sounds really great. A couple of my favorite photographers are putting it together, and it'll be held in the great Smoky Mountains...FABULOUS! Anyway, it looks like it's going to be awesome. It's called For the Love...you should check it out. I think I will.

Also, as many of you know my life gets pretty crazy in the weeks leading up to Christmas. Around these parts there are parties, musicals, chocolate fountains and more. I love my job at Christmas (especially because it comes with a break just after it's TERRIBLY crazy). I get to watch dozens of kids eat up the Christmas season. With Christmas gifts and adorable Christmas performances there are joyful faces everywhere. Here's a glimpse.

This is my job!

Can you believe it?

I get paid to capture this stuff.

I'm so thankful!

Hope your Christmas was as good as mine.
