Soraya Renee

"She's perfect!"

"How did we get here?"

"I'm obsessed!"

"Are we seriously old enough to have kids?"

"She's so cute I could SQUEEZE her!"

"Shoot, time flies."

These were some of the things going through my head when I held Soraya for the first time.

You see, most of the time I feel like I'm still 14. So when a friend that I've known since I was 11 has her first child it takes me a minute to soak it all in.

I went home a couple weeks ago to visit a lifelong friend. Michelle and I have known each other since 5th grade. We've walked through so much together - from church musicals to weddings and now babies.

I've been praying for Soraya for so long. Meeting her was like holding a little gift.

The Lord has great things in store for her life. I really do believe it. He will shape and mold her into a warrior for His kingdom.

I think this one's funny. We can laugh at this when Soraya's a teenager.
