Summer's getting the best of me, I'm afraid. The higher the number on that thermometer, the tougher it's been for me to keep up the blogging...we're talking 106 degrees tough.
Tough to blog, but full of excitement, the last few weeks have been outstanding. I've gotten to visit my best friends in the world all over the great state. Summer is amazing!
This season of life is full of extremely exciting events. I really do feel like so much has happened all at once. With my sister getting married our lives have been abundantly blessed and filled with wedding activities. It's so much fun to gain a brother-in-law! This wedding will be FABULOUS.
Another thing I'm sitting on pins and needles awaiting is the birth of my best friend, Lauren's baby girl!!! Lauren is the first of my college roommates to have a little one and we're all ECSTATIC!!
Last weekend in Dallas we threw her a baby shower that went off without a hitch. We had so much fun laughing about how Lauren and Brice are handling pregnancy. We heard stories of Lauren as a little girl, and laughed about how Lauren would raise a girl as adorable and crazy as she was. As she opened gifts we got excited about decorating a baby room in their new home.
After the cupcakes, punch and gifts we all circled around Lauren to pray for the precious life God had placed in her womb. It's so neat to be in a room full of women that love this baby girl and will commit to showing her Jesus' love as she grows.
I literally cannot wait to meet my adorable little chickadee! I wish I had words to describe it.
